Finally, the fireworks which have been drumming at my ears for over a week have subsided. The Chinese population has totally blown their festival load and we can all move on. Drunk Chinese have stopped shouting "Happy new year!" to me and resumed with whispering "Look, a whitey cracker," to their pals.
I managed to escape with just a visit to milady's parent's home. During that time, her father managed to open up my Wii and plug it directly into the wall despite the voltage difference, frying the adapter. This happened when I went out of the house for an hour or so. "You didn't pack the voltage adapter together with the Wii," he complained. Right, it's my fault. I never told him he could open it up and set it up, but I'm younger than him, so everything is my fault. Luckily, he's an electrical engineer or something so he was able to fix it.
"If you had come back earlier, I wouldn't have had to waste all this time fixing this adapter."
End of story.
